Photo-shoot in the countryside

Our latest promotional photo shoot took place yesterday at Billy One Horns Field and festival Hire with two male models from Electric Cabaret theatrical solutions.

The vintage styled caravan and marquees not only make an excellent venue for hen weekends, tea parties and weddings, but offer a superb backdrop for photographing some of our costumes.

We started with WW2 army uniforms and got some great pictures set against the vintage marquee and bunting. The camouflage and safari suit outfits looked great in action in the long grass and the British soldier of the Raj even got chased by a lion.

Anyone for tennis?  Tilly the vintage caravan was a fantastic backdrop for the striped blazers and boaters and the acting skills from electric cabaret brought the whole shoot to life.

We finished the session with some Arabian shots set against the marquee.

A big ‘thank you’ to Billy One Horn for providing such a fantastic venue and Richard and Wayne from Electric Cabaret for making the shoot such fun.

Bonaventure

Bonaventure is a play by Charlotte Hastings, set in a 1950’s convent.

A flood in the fen country traps two prison officials and their prisoner Sarat Carne who is on her way to the gallows for the murder of her brother.

Sister Mary Bonaventure is convinced of her innocence and tries to unravel the mystery in what appears to be a fairly open and shut case. Many at the convent have a connection to the incident including the doctor who gave testimony at the trial and just before the police launch arrives, a confession is forced from the real murderer.

Tread the Boards Theatre Company are staging a production of this thriller on 5th and 6th July at The Chrysalis Theatre in Milton Keynes and Admiral Costumes are delighted to be supplying some of the specialist period costumes.

‘Allo ‘Allo success for CADS

Admiral Costumes were delighted to help Caddington Amateur Dramatic Society with costumes for their debut production of ‘Allo ‘Allo this May.

The show was presented at Heathfields Community Centre in Caddington and was the first time that the newly formed group had performed in public together.

There are some fabulous pictures from the production which can be seen on both CADs and Admiral Costumes’ Facebook pages and on our website.

We now have a pretty comprehensive set of costumes for this popular show, from Renee in his waistcoat and apron, Michelle in her mac and beret, french tart, Crabtree the gendarme, Herr Flick in his leather trench-coat and various other over the top nazi and admiral costumes.
