We were delighted to supply costumes for the Les Miserables
float at the Eynsham Carnival held in Oxford on 6th July.
Our costumes needed to be close to the film version, with main characters Jean Valjean, Monsieur Thenardier and Javert looking
as magnificent as possible.
Valjean sported a bottle green velvet frock coat, morning
trousers, cravat and top hat. Javert wore a dark blue frock coat with cream
riding breeches, boots and an admiral hat with a revolution rosette and
Thenardier looked colourful in a brightly checked waistcoat, red breeches and
blue military style tailcoat.
Congratulations to the organisers of the Les Mis float, who
won the award for the best float at the carnival.
