We have moved!  Admiral Costumes has moved 75 rails of quality theatrical costumes and fancy dress to Unit 2c, The Hollows, Winslow Road, Little Horwood, MK17 0PD.

Wonderful light and airy unit with roller shutter door for easy access with those rails.

Bespoke scaffolding unit is now displaying hundreds of costumes for all your favourite shows; The Sound of Music, Les Miserables, Oliver, Bugsy Malone and Guys and Dolls.

A new accessory room dedicated to the hundreds of hats, costume jewellery items, bags, gloves, period umbrellas and caps, makes finding the perfect accessories to complement each outfit easy.

Massive choice of period costumes including a superb collection of 1940s wear for those war-time re-enactment days this spring and summer.

We wanted to create a vastly improved customer experience and with waiting area, tea and coffee, internet access and heated changing facilities, we are so excited to get to work in our new environment.

The Hollows business park is easy to find and is only 15 minutes from central MK, two miles from Winslow, for miles from Buckingham and only 10 minutes from our previous location in Newton Longville.

Wedding Party

When Georgina Guest wedding planner extraordinaire decided to have a wedding themed birthday party, the brief didn’t end there - it had to be bad taste OTT 80s style wedding attire, with as many huge sleeves ruffles and bows it is possible to have. 

Competitive guests attempted to obtain the most horrific meringue style and frilly dresses with hilarious results.

We have had a wonderful time at Admiral Costumes helping party guests to choose a monstrosity of a bride or bridesmaid dress without stealing the thunder of the party girl bride and her partner the groom.

Georgina was not to be upstaged in a wonderful satin gown with huge lace sleeves and flower trim, with her husband in a black tailcoat, top hat and spats.

Peach seemed to be the favourite colour and magnificent satin dresses were chosen with hooped underskirts, rose trims and floral baskets.

Not to be outdone, a couple of friends went as a matching pair of floral bridesmaids with parasols.

There was no escape for the men who either had to wear a suit or smart top hat and tails outfit and a 6’ 8” pope added to the hilarity with his mitre continually scraping the ceiling.

Oliver Twist – A fabulous set of costumes for schools

Oliver Twist remains a popular choice of musical for both youth drama groups and secondary schools due to the number of young people required for the cast.

Costuming a large school cast of over 50 children can be a daunting prospect, but at Admiral Costumes, we do this all the time.  

Simply give us a call for a costume list for the main characters, highlight the ones you require, add in your chorus of workhouseboys and townsfolk and we can send you a quote.

We have a wonderful choice of costumes suitable for this show from Oliver’s collarless shirt, breeches and baker boy hat, the Artful Dodger’s worn tailcoat and top hat, Fagin’s coat and fingerless gloves, Nancy’s red dress and work clothing for Bill Sikes, all in a variety of sizes to suit your cast.

We have masses of shirts, waistcoats and caps to accommodate large school casts and can work to any budget.

Either book the whole set, just the main characters, or we are happy to provide costumes on an individual basis.
