VE celebration of Liberation Day in Guernsey

VE celebration of Liberation Day in Guernsey took place on Saturday 9th May exactly 70 years since the Island was liberated.

A whole day of festivities centred around the piers in St Peters Port included the Condor Liberation Cavalcade – a long cavalcade of military vehicles and decorated floats.

We were delighted to supply some Land Army Girls costumes for this event and the girls look great with their shirts, boots and their 40’s styled hair under colourful headscarves.

A big ‘thank you’ to the gorgeous girls on the ‘Dig for Victory’ float for these wonderful pictures.
