The
fabulous musical My Fair Lady is based on ‘Pygmalion’ by George Bernard Shaw
and tells the rags to riches story of Eliza Doolittle a cockney flower girl who
undertakes speech lessons with Professor Henry Higgins.
The rather
pompous Colonel Pickering makes a bet with the professor that Eliza will never
be able to pass as a refined Victorian lady, but she fools them all including
young aristocrat Freddy Eynsford, who falls madly in love with her.
