Ella May is a gorgeous 70’s retro van ideal for hiring out
for weddings, parties and picnics. What could be nicer to celebrate your
special event than hiring a unique retro van that can be themed to your choice,
having a themed picnic and dressing in themed clothing to complete your day.
Kerry’s son and his girlfriend Amber made natural models and
looked the part in authentic 70’s flared jeans, waistcoats and accessories
selected from Admiral Costumes’ extensive retro clothing range. Lisa, currently
starring in the west end, added glamour with a stylish 70’s kaftan sequinned
and floaty summer dress.
The young models worked really well together to provide some
fantastic shots for professional photographer, Sally Crane.
Further interest was added by a superb vintage Daimler
provided by Bev Short. “We’ve had the car for 18 years,” said Bev proudly, “and
we absolutely love it.” The models did
too and some great pictures were taken inside and out of both vehicles.
Authentic 70’s styling by Janice from The Dandelion House,
both inside the van and on the set, completed the retro look and it really felt
that we were on a 70’s picnic.
A step back in time was created by impressive hair and make
up stylist, LipstickCurls who did a magical job in turning the 70’s hairstyles into
1940’s rolled hairstyles typical of the period in an incredibly short space of
time.
Jo from Rubies Vintage Teas expertly re-styled the van for
the 1940’s using her extensive collection of props and accessories to provide
some more superb shots for Sally.
“It makes perfect sense for us all to work together,” said
Jo, “if anyone hires the van for a vintage day out, then they may want a
vintage picnic and vintage clothing to complete their day.”
It has been a wonderful opportunity for a set of talented
business ladies to work together to produce a set of photographs that will be
used over the next few months to complement all our businesses and more shoots
are planned with ideas for vintage weddings, 50’s and 60’s eras.
We all look forward to working together again soon on
another exciting project.
