The story begins in Piazetta in Venice when brothers, Mario and Guiseppe Palmieri decide to get married and choose brides wearing blindfolds.
Things get complicated when it transpires that one of the
brothers is the son of the King of Baratania who was abducted at birth and has
spent his life as a common gondolier.
Admiral Costumes are delighted to have provided a set of
costumes to Julian Light Opera Society for their production of The Gondoliers
in Ealing this month.
The first scene is set in shades of grey and we were able to
put together a selection of 1930’s style clothing items and suits suitable to
set the scene.
