Swing, spot dresses and The Fringe

Having costumed Les Miserables, The Life and Times of Shakespeare and Bugsy Malone for many school productions last term, we looked forward to a fun and creative August here at Admiral Costumes.

Our stall at ‘Swingwood’, Swingrave’s salute to the Twinwood music festival, allowed us to showcase our bespoke 50’s style spot dresses and other specialist vintage clothing. It was great fun meeting dancers and joining in with a stroll workshop.

We love it when the shows we have costumed do well and we are delighted that Blues Brothers, Rat Pack and ‘We will be Free’ have received rave 5 star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe.

We were delighted to work closely with Townsend productions to produce some amazing bespoke costumes for their new play ‘We will be Free’, a true story based on the Tolpuddle Martyrs, with new and beautiful music score written by John Kirkpatrick.

Our 50’s wear went down a storm at a 50’s coronation street party, creating some great pictures for our website and newsletters.

We are now working on outfits for the Goodwood Revival that takes place in September.
