From Panto to Semi-Monde

We have costumed some great productions this month utilising our huge range of costumes for many eras and styles.

Red Riding Hood had a mix of traditional panto wear with Granny Hood, Jack and a wicked wolf with wig and mob cap disguise. This was in contrast to the other characters set in present day with the three little pig property developers in modern day suits.

Aladdin was a riot of colour with the young cast wearing some gorgeous chinese jackets and silk dresses with top knots and coolie hats. Rich jewel colours were used for Ebenezar and the emperor with Aladdin in both poor and rich Chinese costumes.

Bugsy is set in the 1920’s gangster period with stripe suits, trilby’s and bright flapper dresses for the show girls.

It was great to supply a set of fantastic 50’s wear for a local production of Grease with lots of beautiful prom dresses and colourful Teddy Boy jackets.
Semi-Monde is set in the elegant 1930’s with lots of day and evening wear, furs and tons of accessories.

We have really enjoyed putting costumes together for these shows and look forward to more productions next month of Grease, The Sound of Music, Les Miserables and Bugsy Malone.
